NSTU maintains an ongoing commitment to improving the energy performance of all existing campus buildings. The university is progressively upgrading infrastructure by replacing traditional lighting with energy-efficient alternatives, installing low-consumption electric fans, and integrating IoT-based smart control systems to minimise unnecessary energy use. Additional efficiency-enhancing measures are continuously evaluated and implemented as part of NSTU’s long-term sustainability plan.
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at NSTU actively contributes to national discussions on clean energy and energy-efficient technology policy development. Faculty members participate in expert dialogues, academic consultations, and technical exchanges aligned with government priorities for sustainable energy transition.
As part of our ongoing commitment, the department regularly celebrates EEE Day, inviting reputed experts to share insights on energy policy, renewable technologies, and efficiency innovations. Additionally, students and faculty conduct industry visits to gain practical experience and strengthen understanding of real-world energy systems and challenges.
NSTU remains fully committed—and expresses strong willingness—to continue supporting government agencies with research-based recommendations, expert guidance, and collaborative engagements whenever invited.
NSTU actively promotes awareness of low-carbon technologies and provides both formal and informal support to initiatives that advance sustainable innovation. The university’s technical departments—including Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)—regularly contribute their expertise to improve the energy performance of campus buildings and infrastructure.
NSTU stands ready to assist start-ups working on clean energy, energy efficiency, and low-carbon technologies by offering technical guidance, academic collaboration, and access to expert knowledge whenever requested. Through this commitment, the university aims to encourage entrepreneurship that contributes to a greener and more sustainable economy.
